This is pretty sugar bowl and creamer set. They are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
Salem China produced over 500 patterns before closing down all manufacturing in 1960. This pattern does not appear often. The pattern name is: "SLM 57U Simplicity. They were produced in 1956. The entire collection is trimmed in platinum. The pretty scrollwork pattern is turquoise and what looks like a brownish gold to me.
Both piece in the set has crazing in the glaze which doesn't detract from their value. They show little sign of wear and age. Typical with Salem products, there is some wrinkles or slipping of the decal design under the glaze on some pieces. The platinum pinstriping is very shiny and pretty. Please keep in mind this china is over 60 years old and condition is consistent with age.
