Skilled artisans in Nepal use a traditional felting process to create these beautiful pieces. 100% New Zealand sheep’s wool is wrapped into loose balls, moistened with warm water and then hand-rolled before being laid out to dry in the sun. The combination of moisture and warmth works to compact and stiffen in the wool fibers. Once the wool individual balls are completely dry, 100 of them are hand sewn together to make this 6 1/2“ x 6 1/2“ square.
