    Original Walt Disney Productions Half Sheet Poster (22x28) for the Wilfred Jackson and Jack Kinney animated South American adventure, SALUDOS AMIGOS (1942) narrated by Fred Shields. Disney animators toured South America and presented four animated shorts inspired by their trip. The "hearts and minds" trip was part of a government outreach program to South America and Central American states during World War II to encourage good relations and discourage governments there from cooperating with Nazi Germany. The film received three Academy Award nominations: Best Sound, Best Original Song (Saludos Amigos), and Best Original Score. Donald Duck and Jose Carioca are seen on the poster. This poster has some defects including a chip out of the border and some signs of general wear. We recommend paperbacking for this poster and we know that it would look great if undertaken.
