Description
Bird of Paradise is a popular, virtually problem-free perennial for container or landscape growing. The flowers bloom over an extended period and are long-lasting. The Bird of Paradise is a member of the banana family (Musaceae) and comes from South Africa.
Bird of Paradise culture is similar to that of Traveler's Trees. For the first year or so, grow your Bird of Paradise in a pot away from full sun. After it grows larger, plant it in its final position in full sun, part sun, or light shade. Protect it from freezing and frost.

Combine shipping and save! Shipping for one plant is .99 and each additional is just {{detail_product_description}}.50. We ship 7-10 days after payment is received. During this time, we will be busy handpicking your plants, processing them per USDA requirements, and then packing with care for a safe journey to you.
Dead Leaves?
A few leaves may die during shipping. No fear! It's still healthy and will grow new leaves. Trim old growth and repot into a larger pot to encourage new growth.

We don’t advise shipping in freezing temperatures. Please ensure temperature lows in your area aren't under 35℉ when you order. If they are that low, just email us and we will be happy to hold your order. Also, make sure to track your package closely and retrieve it as soon as it arrives. We insulate packages bound for cold destinations. We do not, however, use heat packs.
