About Kinetin
Kinetin is a cytokinins plant hormone that, like other products in our range, promotes cell division and encourages growth. Cytokinins include regulators that are involved in the plant’s stress response and photosynthesis, as well as nutrient assimilation. Kinetin can activate or deactivate genes or enzymes in specific plants.
When to use Kinetin
There are many instances when Kinetin is the right product to use in a number of circumstances. It can help seeds, seedlings and cuttings alike with a number of activities.
As a hormone that promotes cell division, Kinetin can be used to increase plant growth and substantially increase the size and yield of your crops.
If used with seedlings, kinetin will help to improve the viability of seeds, general health and increase germination rates. Does kinetin work?
Small studies support the skin anti-aging benefits of kinetin. A split-face study published in Dermatology Times in 2002 revealed that the side of the face exposed to kinetin for three months showed a decrease in the appearance of fine wrinkles, better skin texture and clarity and lightening of pigmented areas when compared to the opposite half of the face. Other small studies have shown similar benefits. Whether or not it’s as effective as retinoids for treating aging skin is still unclear, although it appears to cause fewer side effects and is better tolerated. Is kinetin safe?
