    Japanese Arita Imari Plate
    by Aoki Brothers Company (Aoki Kyodai-Shokai)
    Beautifully done Arita Imari plate that is handpainted in a deep cobalt and brick red floral palette, trimmed with gilt, featuring an artistic rendering of a bird in the central medallion and having an intricate foo dog border.
    Very good antique condition with no chips, cracks, or repair. Light wear on the gilt trim.

    In good
    unrepaired
    condition. The pattern is intact with rich colors and wonderful decorative scenes. The cover is missing. There is significant wear to the gilt on the rim with lesser wear noted in the gilt detailing, or on the base or edges. There is a long, tight hairline crack (approximately 7" long) on the interior that extends through the piece. The are two stress or firing lines to the fluted edges on the base and one small area of fretting at the base. There are typical manufacturing
    imperfections
    expected with porcelain of this age.
