    Here is a really neat piece of American and music history.  An original vintage concert poster for a Live Gene Autry performance in 1942.   We have never seen this concert poster before and suspect this is the only one in existence.   But, what makes it even more exciting is the provenance that comes with it and is attached to the back of the poster.
    The  extraordinary  provenance includes letters from Columbia Recording to Autry's manager David B.
    Whalen and copies of response discussing materials needed to promote upcoming show... Line up card features Autry,  then Alvino Rey, King Sisters, Charlie Barnet.  On the back of the poster is a promotion for  “Don't sit under the Apple tree”..
