Description

Presented is an antique pair of sterling silver candlesticks made by Hayes & McFarland and retailed by Hodgson Kennard & Company during the very early 1900s. The early 20th century pair are done in a classical form and the rims have threaded bands of design. Each base has a finely engraved monogram of the letter W. The bobeches are removable for easy cleaning and wax removal. The candle holders are cement filled.
The underside of each piece is marked for Hayes & McFarland, Hodgson Kennard & Co and sterling silver purity.
This set is in great overall condition.
The diameter of each base is 5 1/2 inches and each candlestick is 11 1/4 inches tall.
