1945 16' Old Town Canoe Otca Model w/ OEM Build sheet serial no 141916

Description

The Old Town canoe with serial number 141915 is a 16 foot long, CS (Common Sense or middle) grade, Otca model with red Western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, ash decks, ash thwarts, ash seats, and a keel. It was built between March and June, 1945. The original exterior paint color was dark green with a lighter G. S. (Guide’s Special) green bottom. It shipped on June 11th, 1945 to Milton, Florida. It was damaged in shipping and was returned on September 22nd, 1945 for repairs. It was then shipped to Waterbury, Connecticut on November 15th, 1945 as shown on the back side of this build record. Made in USA
